Previously known as Harbor Pointe Apartments, The Cooper was rebranded in 2021 after Atlanta-based real estate investment firm Audobon acquired the property for $65 million in late 2020. Built in the late 1980s and extensively renovated, the 334-unit apartment community sits on 32.5 acres near the base of the Ravenel Bridge and features modern one- to three-bedroom units. The property was acquired by an affiliate of Richmond, Virginia-based General Services Corp. on January 7, 2026 for $105 million, one of only a handful of apartment communities in the Charleston market to achieve a nine-figure sale price.
The CBRE team engaged with multiple investors to facilitate a smooth transaction and timely close through challenging market conditions. This high-quality presentation helped elevate the community’s perceived value and contributed directly to its standout performance in a competitive market.
